granny & a gun

As I mentioned in an earlier post, a couple of friends and I had a little yard sale on Saturday. I had one encounter during the sale that I decided had to be blogged about. So the story goes, I'm sitting at the yard sale and a women walks up with a cow bell around her neck.

I was selling a cow bell that I once bought to train Stella. I thought it would be a good idea to train Stella to ring the bell each time she need to go outside. She is a smart pup, and she quickly caught onto the bell idea. She caught on a little too well, and began to rule me! She would ring the bell not only when she had to potty, but also whenever she wanted to go outside and play. She was ringing the bell all the time!! Like I said, she was ruling me. So, the plan failed and the cow bell ended up in the yard sale, and then around a granny's neck.

So you can get the full visual effect, the lady looked exactly like Granny Clampett & she was wearing foam curlers like these...
As she was paying for the cow bell, she proceeded to tell me that she was going to put the bell around her door, "right next to my gun." I guess she read the expression on my face, and proceeded to show me her concealed weapon license. I'm not a gun person (this is not a political statement), they just freak me out a little. You will not believe what she did next...she pulled a hand gun out of her purse. Just to show me...like that is totally normal.

Please close your eyes for me...
Picture a little granny... sporting some foam rollers...flashing around her handgun...at a yard sale

Yes friends it's okay to be jealous. Not everyone's Saturday can be that entertaining.

Life is full of surprises!

Outstanding. I think in order to promote moments like these, we should all read the 2nd amendment today and thank God that the founding fathers were thinking of little grannies when they penned said words.

Sounds like a typical day in Ky. Go granny!

At our last yard sale we had a man who insisted on "trying out" some toenail clippers. We forced him to purchase.
