All of my Christmas gifts are bought ... and as of last night they're wrapped as well! This year I opted for the simple brown craft paper. I love the warm and comforting look at craft paper, and I love even more that it only cost me about $3.00 at the dollar store.
One other thing that I love about craft paper, is that the ribbon and bow combinations are endless. I tried to use a wide variety of textures, and I am really happy with the way they turned out. Think outside of the ribbon isle. Take a stroll in the floral, yarn, or scrapbook section.
For the "to and from" part, I used a little detail stamp I picked up at Michael's for $1.00.

A work in progress
I get pretty excited about wrapping Christmas gifts, but this little girl got even more excited. She was way too pumped up about the paper and ribbon, so unfortunately she had to watch from a distance ... still has a lot of puppy in her. How long will this last? I am still waiting for that two year mark.

i love your wrapping!!!
i love craft paper wrapping too. i used it a lot last year, since i haven't wrapped ANYTHING this year who knows what it will look like?
i never thought of the stamp idea though! very fun!
Super cute!! I wish I could still do this but I've already started wrapping my gifts w/ wrapping paper! Your idea is better and cheaper!! haha great job!
Your gifts are beautiful! I wrap almost everything in craft paper. It's not only inexpensive, but gives so much room to play and experiment with trim like you have. Love that! :)
i love craft paper and the different ribbon. nice job rach!
however...my favorite pic is of stella-bella. i can't wait to see her (and you) tomorrow. yay!
It looks so simple and festive--I'd rather have craft paper and work with tons and tons of beautiful ribbon (Do you ever shop at www.reasonableribbon.com? I'm in love with the prices!)
Love it! I did the craft wrapping two years ago and I also used a $1 stamp from Michaels too - I'm gonna feel good that I was on the same creative wavelength as you because you are so creative! I didn't think of using bright colored bows though. I used twine and tied pinecones to the packages. Where do you get your ribbon?
Hey Britney! I bought all of my ribbon at Michaels. Not the cheapest place, but I was already there getting other things ... and who can pass up red houndstooth??
That is precious. Your "travel tree" is SUCH a good idea!! And a sweet little family tradition too. :)
We were in Lex last Monday for about 4 hours and I tried to get Seth to stop at your house to see you guys and Stella. He wouldn't. Look at that cuteness I missed out on!!
