wellies

Decisions, decisions.

I am usually good about making decisions. I like to make a decision quickly! E and I are total opposites when it comes to this. When he wants to make a large purchase, he goes from store to store for weeks and looks at all of his options. I can't tell you how much time I have stood in a store while E just "looks." I feel bad for the people working there, because he never has any intention on actually buying whatever it is at the store. He almost always makes large purchases online because you can find much better deals.

Not me, I make up my mind quickly and go buy what I need at the first place I find.
I know that there are good and bad to both ways of doing things.
I am thankful that we can balance each other out in this way.

Maybe E is rubbing off on me. I have totally stewed over which pair of wellies I want to purchase. I promise that I am not totally superficial. Even saying this makes me feel a little lame. I promise that I do think about more meaningful things in my day. However, I know that if I am going to spend the money on a pair of Hunter boots, then I want to wear them for pratically forever. Therefore, I want to make sure that I am going to get a color that I am going to like for awhile.

So here is what I have narrowed it down to:

graphite gloss

pea green gloss

I know that the green are a little bit more quirky, but I just love them.

and lastly, the classic
original (non-gloss) green

So what do you think?

If you were going to buy a pair, what would you pick?

Here is a link to the huge selection that they offer.

swim

I have the perfect swimsuits picked out.
Now all I need is someone to take me to a warm, sunny land.

And my absolute favorite
THIS ONE!

All bathing suites are from the lovely Anthropologie swim collection.

Also, although these suits are absolutely gorgeous, I had something so much more beautiul to share with you today. Unfortunitly, the pictures I put on my flash drive to use for the post are not showing up. I am really bummed. I guess they didn't transfer or something.

I know that they're still on my home computer so I am going to work on it when I get home. I really hope that I get a little extra time tonight to share more about E and I's evening last night.

I will give you a tiny bit of info - last night E and I were blessed to be able to stand at the airport as four of our good friends (all of which are / or are now graduated high school students at our church and their father) were reunited with their mother from the Congo after not seeing her or even knowing if she was alive for approx. 9 years.

(I stole this one from facebook)

It was truly an unbelievable experience. Like I said, I cannot wait to share more, but I will wait until I have the pictures to properly document the experience. Until then ... keep warm.

bedazzled

So a couple of weeks ago, I blogged about wanting a pair of jeweled flats. It seemed like every pair I found was rounding or over $100. I knew it was going to get cold, and soon my feet would be freezing in ballerina flats...so I improvised! I found an old pair of metallic flats that I had been neglecting all season and headed for the nearest Michael's. I found some rhinestone jewels that complimented the color of the shoes. Then came the hot glue gun, and the rest is history!

metallic flats

In the past year, a pair of metallic flats has become an essential part of my wardrobe. At first, I was really nervous about purchasing a pair. I kept thinking of my clothes and feeling like they wouldn't match anything. I was so wrong. I bought a pair, and now I wear them all the time! I wear them so much that I am needing a new pair.

I'll take all three - please.

county fresh {bigger and better}

As you can see, I found a way to make the pictures larger. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I am totally coveting the pink fridge, lovely soaking tub, and the two different mirrors. Okay I am coveting everything about these pictures.

Also, I made my decision on the dress. I went with the cream and brown ruffle tube top. Thanks for all your comments. I truly do appreciate each one of them!

how will I ever choose?

Happy Friday friends! I hope you all have wonderful plans for the ways you're going to spend the next couple of days.

I need some help... I am going to a wedding in October...and cannot choose an appropriate dress

Please comment and let me know which dress above you believe would be the most fun to wear

Keep in mind that it will be October and I fall into the petite category.

{It wasn't until I looked back over all the dresses and realized that they almost all have either buttons or ruffles...or BOTH. My love for buttons and ruffles has been revealed}

Thanks so much :)

made for walkin'

If there was one thing I wanted for the Fall, it was a pair of flat riding boots! Every pair I found was at least $150. I couldn't find anything that was cheaper & still the look I was going for. Until last night, when these boots walked into my life. Ok maybe they didn't walk into my life, maybe I walked into Target! Whatever the case, I love them and they were surely not as pricey! Fall is my favorite season & it will be ever sweeter this year with these lovelies on my feet!

On a side note, during my trip to Target, I picked up a dog toy for Stella. On the tag it said "Pet toy shall be taken away if tears, seams open or other damage is detected." All I can say is they have not met my little Stells. To her, tearing toys open is playing with them - duh!
